How do I add and edit h-tags (headings) to my webpages?

H tags are used in html to mark your webpage headings. They are important for SEO (search enhine optimization) because they help search engines understand the topic and structure of your webpages. The Homespun builder allows you to mark your headings, h1-h6, with out knowing html.

1. From your Dashboard, click on "Edit Website" located in the dark blue box at the top of the page.

2. Click on "My Webpages" located in the upper left side of your screen, and click on the page you want to edit.

3. Hover your cursor on the left side of the block you want to edit until you see an aqua-colored box.Click on "Edit Text."

4. Highlight the text you would like to mark as a heading.

5. In the task bar just above the text field, there is a box that says "paragraph." Click the arrow on the right side of that box, and a drop-down menu should appear.

6. Click your desired h-tag number.

7. Click "Done" at the bottom of the text field.

If you unintententionally mark paragraph text as a heading (you will notice this because it will appear larger than the rest of the paragraph text) changing it back works the same as above:

1. Highlight the text you do not want to be a heading.

2. The box in the task bar above the text field will indicate the type of heading it is marked as (Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3, etc.." Click the arrow on the right side of the box.

3. When the drop-down menu appears, click "Paragraph."

4. Click "Done."
