How to Get Your Mailchimp Embedded Form Code

If you are using Mailchimp to collect email addresses through your website, you will need the embedded form code from your Mailchimp account.

This code allows the signup form to appear directly on your website while Mailchimp stores the subscriber information in your mailing list.

Get the Embedded Form Code

Log in to your Mailchimp account, then go to:

Forms → Create form → Embedded form

Then:

1. Give the form a name.

2. Click Continue to builder.

3. Click Form Fields to choose which fields you want to include.

   For a simple mailing list signup, we recommend:

   • Email Address

   • First Name

   • Last Name

   Use the checkbox next to a field to include or remove it.

   You can also click the field name to:

   • Add instructions for that field.

   • Mark the field as required.

   We generally recommend making Email Address required and leaving name fields optional unless you have a reason to require them.

4. Click Continue.

5. Click Copy Code.

Add the Form to Your Website

You can send the code to Homespun Websites and we can add it for you, or you can add it yourself in the Homespun Builder.

Go to the page where you want the Mailchimp form to appear.

1. Select Add a New Page Block.

2. Tick HTML Block (Widgets, Code, etc.) and click Submit.

3. Title your Page Block.

4. Copy the Mailchimp embedded form code.

5. Return to the Web Builder and paste the code into the white HTML box. Click Done.

6. Save and Publish your changes.
