What is a domain alias?

An alias is another domain name that is associated with your website. Anyone who visits the alias name will automatically be re-directed toyour main domain. You can buy an alias if you want several names for your websiteor if you want tobuy the domain names that could be possible mis-spellings of your domain name. The alias will redirect toyour main site.

For instance, let's say you have moved a websitedomain for your floral business.  Your domain is called "www.WeFloral.com."  You could also have an alias of, "www.FlowersInPortlandOR.com" and this domain can be typed in toredirect towww.WeFloral.com."

If you want toadd an alias toyour account, please submit a support ticket from your Web Builder Dashboard, or email us at info@homespunwebsites.com, and we will set it up for you for a yearly fee per alias (starting at $16/year as of 1/30/25).
