What is a Subdomain?

A subdomain is a unique domain name given to other areas of your main website. For example, www.yoursite.com is your main domain name, where as Shop.YourSite.com is a subdomain of your site specifically creating a short cut to the shopping area of your website. You can create as many subdomains as you like depending upon the scale of your website.
