Q. Why did I get a renewal notice for my domain name? I thought as part of my package that you automatically renew my domain for me.
If your domain is registered through us, we will bill annually to renew it. Currently (as of 1/30/25), this fee ranges from $16-$22 per year, depending on the amount Go Daddy charges us. This is a separate fee from your monthly hosting. If your domain is not registered through Homespun, you will probably receive a bill from the company you bought it from. Please do make sure you pay this fee. If you lose your domain registered through another company because of non-payment, we are unable to help you retrieve ownership of it. HOWEVER, BEWARE there are lots of domain renewal scams that go around via email. Just to be safe, please submit a support ticket from your Web Builder Dashboard, or email us at support@homespunwebsites.com, so that we can verify that your domain does in fact need to be renewed.
