How do I update the server records for my domain with GoDaddy?

Please Note: This process is intended for customers who want tohave their websitehosted with us, but also maintain hosting and/or e-mail with GoDaddy.

You will want tocreate/edit "A Records" and "CNAME Records" for your domain

Instructions for howto edit/create the records can be found here

Things you will need toknow:

For A Records:

"Host Name" is your domain, e.g. "mywebsite.com", there is NO prefix, e.g. NOT "www.mywebsite.com", NOT "http://mywebsite.com"

"Points toIP Address" is going tobe "204.232.152.63"

"TTL" is going tobe 14400

 

For CNAME Records:

You will want tocreate a CNAME record for "www." + yourdomain:

"Alias Name" is "www." + yourdomain, e.g. "www.mywebsite.com"

"Points toHost Name" is just yourdomain, e.g. "mywebsite.com" (again, NO prefix)

"TTL" is going tobe 14400
